Information we collect
Directory profiles contain business information drawn from public firm websites and other public professional sources. A profile may include a firm name, city and state, public phone number, website, service focus, and the name and title of a publicly identified principal.
If you contact us or suggest an update, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, role, the profile concerned, your message, and any supporting public source URL.
Our hosting and security providers may process routine technical information such as an IP address, browser type, request time, and security signals needed to deliver the site, prevent spam, and investigate errors.
How we use information
- To operate, review, and improve the public directory.
- To investigate correction requests and keep an audit trail of profile changes.
- To respond to enquiries and communicate about a submitted request.
- To prevent abuse, protect the site, and diagnose service failures.
- To manage relevant business communications in our customer relationship system.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to host the application and database, protect public forms from abuse, and manage business communications. They process information on our instructions and subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business reorganization. We do not publish the private contact details submitted through a correction or contact form.
Retention and security
We keep profile sources and correction history for as long as needed to maintain an accurate directory and explain material profile decisions. Enquiries, security records, and related communications are retained only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose, legal obligations, or dispute prevention.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct directory information or raise a privacy concern. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection in relation to personal information we hold.
A request may require enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant record. Some information may need to be retained where the law permits or requires it.
